I am an experienced fitness industry veteran with 25 years worth of experience at all levels in the business. I was a D1 college baseball player and always liked to compete and train. As I get older my workouts have changed but I still make time for the gym. What makes me different from most other consultants in this industry is that I want to be in the gym, working. I work directly on-site with you and your team to identify opportunities, improve operations, and drive real results. I am willing to travel and stay onsite. I’m not a remote consultant (I can do that, but prefer in person)— I immerse myself in your business, ensuring we execute at a high level and make meaningful progress. I can get down and dirty with every detail from building personal training sales, developing management, establishing sales systems that work and so much more. I can spend 30 minutes in a club and see where there is waste in the day to day operations. My goal is not to point out all the weak spots, every club has them...it's to reposition the team and the operation to deliver at a high level and have fun doing it! Meanwhile lifting profits and revenue.

I’ve worked with some of the largest fitness chains in the United States, including Crunch Fitness-Franchise Executive, Fitness Connection - Regional President, Urban Active Fitness - Sr VP, Gold's Gym - VP, as well as independently owned facilities with tennis courts, pools and other high end amenities. I understand the differences between high-volume, low-cost models and smaller, higher-touch operations. I’ve operated in both small towns and major cities, single units to

multi-club and multi-state operations; and I know how to adapt strategy based on market dynamics.

My career in the fitness industry started in my early 20's working at the front desk going to grad school at the University of Kentucky. When I decided I wanted to do more inside the club I was put into membership sales and personal training, quickly promoted to club management. What began as a couple locations transitioned into a Gold’s Gym operation that grew into the largest privately held Gold’s Gym group in the country, with 13 locations by 2005. During that time, I served as Vice President of Sales and Operations, overseeing performance, growth, and execution across all locations in three states.

In 2005, we partnered with a private equity group to accelerate expansion. We exited the Gold’s Gym brand and launched our own—Urban Active Fitness. Over the next five years, and now Sr. VP of Sales and Operations we scaled to 36 locations across five states. We built 40,000-75,000 square foot clubs, acquired clubs, relocated tired stores, and built over 20 new locations from the ground up. That experience of driving presales, cultivating talent within the ranks, navigating acquisitions with existing staff in place, troubleshooting challenging clubs and working in many diverse markets gave me a deep understanding of every stage of gym growth—from startup to scale to optimization. Throughout my career, I am most proud of my ability to cultivate talent and building teams. As a result, I oversaw 1500 employees in field, in the office and regularly presented at quarterly board meetings. 

Today, I bring that full-spectrum experience to gym owners who want to grow, fix problems, or prepare for a successful exit. I focus on what actually drives performance—revenue, retention, cost control, and execution—so your business runs stronger and more profitably.
